Dear Swamin, No doubt that "Om Namo Narayanaya" is THE ASHTAKSHARI. But by virtue of this manthram possessing eight letters we can call it Venkatesa Ashtakshari. Similarly maybe Naarasimha Ashtakshari. All manthrams are sacred for us like vaasudeva Manthram etc. In this context there should be no objection to write or recite OM NAMO VENKATESAYA just as we write Rama Koti. Adiyen, Dasan, Ramanujam. >From: "Sridhar" <pataps@xxxxxxxxx> >Reply-To: ramanuja@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >To: ramanuja@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: [ramanuja] Re: Write "OM Namo Venkatesaya" mantram: Program by HH >Chinna Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami. >Date: Mon, 10 Jan 2005 17:11:17 -0000 > > > >srImathE rAmAnujAya namaha > >Dear srI guNa: > >I do not believe that you wrote anything inappropriate.
