KaNDavar tham manam
vazhangum kaNNapuram
Taking cue from the introuduction let us
take up to relevant points.
1. AzhwAr reaches the point of feminine
aspect and even in that phase, cannot talk for herself but her mother
describes her situation and
2. She forgets her nature and also the
nature of the Almighty and mumbles 'kaNNapuram-kaNNapuram' The reason for this is that The
KaNNapuram EmperumAn is One who defeats all the nature with HIs
SElam.
The natue of the soul is to wait for the
Lord with conviction. The thalaivan or the Almighty should come and rescue us.
HOwever, the longingness-thvarai -does not permit
this and Thirumangai AzhwAr becomes parakAla nAyaki and yearns for
ThirukkaNNapuram.
She desires kaNNapuram and the Lord
therein. She describes the attitude of the inhabitants there
and the Greatness and beauty of the EmperumAn. All this in the first
ThriuMozhi of the 8th Ten -Silai ilangu pon Azhi..

vazhangum ThirukkaNNapuram.
Those who see Him will lose their mind and
become frenzied on Him. This happened in the case of KulasEkarAzhwAr who also
mentions the same words in
'kaNdavar tham manam
vazhangum kaNapurathu en karu-maNiyEa' 8-2;
And Here again Sri Thirumanagai Mannan
mentions this as his prediament in the ninth pAsuram of the first thirumozhi
8-1-9;
Those who See the Lord Here give
themselves up to Him voluntarily-spontaneoulsy.Such is His beauty and SElam and
is AzhwAr an exception to this?
