General Job Sites
TriangleJobs.Com
The News and Observer Employment Ads Online. You can search today's ads, tomorrow's ads (after 5pm), display ads, and Sunday ads. All ads in the printed classified sections of the Village Advocate, News and Observer and Durham Herald-Sun are included.
McClatchy Newspapers Online Classfieds
Classified sections from twelve newspapers from around the country. Includes all ads from printed classified sections.
Yahoo! Classifieds
Includes job postings from every major city in the country. Some postings are more reputable than others. Look out for "make money at home" jobs. They are just pyramid schemes. However, there are as many good jobs listed as suspicious ones.
NOTE: Don't just use job sites! Just about every corporation has a web site by now, and on just about every one of these sites is a employment section for the company. Ask yourself "who do I want to work for?" and then visit their site. Many jobs are never advertised in newspapers or search engines but are simply listed on the company web site.
Technology Job Sites
ComputerJobsStore.Com
Includes thousands of listing for all kinds of technology positions. Mostly consultant groups. Includes a Nation, Carolina, Chicago, Florida, and Texas section. Jobs are usually current and many details are given.
Net-Temps.Com
The place for consulting job postings. This site is extremely rich with postings, and any computer user can find a job for them. However, job posting are often out of date, and are often already filled when you see them. It is still worth visiting this site, however, because of the sheer number of postings.
Monster.Com
The most famous and successful technology web site on the Net. Includes almost 190,000 jobs.
Also, every region has a *.jobs newsgroup (for example: triangle.jobs). Thousands of technology job postings are located in these groups, mostly from consulting agencies.
