Background
Tae Kwon Do is a Korean Martial Art that
emphasizes the use of the feet for self defense. It is the only Martial
Art Recognized by the U.S. Olympic Committee, and was included as an
Olympic Demonstration Sport in 1988 and 1992. Tae Kwon Do was an official
medal sport for the first time at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia.
