NATIONAL GOALS


  1. Teaching - Strengthen teaching about diversity issues by integrating social and historical theory, action, self-reflection, and media creation as resources within the teaching/learning process

  2. Learning - Engage students and teachers in a shared commitment to utilizing the risk, tension and reward of diversity as opportunities for growth and insight

  3. Media - Change young people's passive relationship with media to an active one by developing skills for critical thinking, media literacy, and hands-on media creation

  4. Leadership - Enhance the leadership of teachers and students

  5. Civic participation -Improve the commitment, involvement, and civic skills of young people to utilize diversity as a strength in making a difference in their communities and workplaces
