Me too. Standardizing this process is important and actually a bit
complex, in my opinion. There are subjective tests mentioned in Dr
Ingham's compost tea manual which are quite helpful. Essentially
odor, color, and temperature elevation during aeration. Ingredients
(and their quality) in the recipe are very important. Steve Diver at
ATTRA has info regarding chemical analyses however these require
instrumentation as well. I think for the first few batches produced,
the subjective tests mentioned in the compost tea manual are very
adequate unless you have a financial risk involved and you need to
certify the quality of the tea. Dennis Kemnitz
