Re: [compost_tea] Fruit Fly
Typically a fungus that attacks soft-bodied insects and larval stages of
insects is useful.
Beauveria and Steinernema are possible additions to your compost or your tea.
Bruce Elliott carries Beauveria species. Steinernema and a couple species of
Beauveria are available from Peaceful Valley Farm Supply cataloge. Also
Soils Alive carries several types of these fungal parasites of insects.
Add to your tea, or your compost. They grow and spread into the soil when
you put the compost or tea out.
