 With a PTO driven compost spreader you drive faster therefore less volume
per acre applied. This is similar to calibrating your sprayer to apply a
certain volume per acre. Specificially you load up a known quantity say one
ton, drive until it's gone noting your travel speed and then measure the
area/distance covered. As most compost spreaders unload at a constant speed
you adjust your travel speed up or down to adjust the quantity applied.
