Dr. Mike Evans of U of Ark. gave a presentation at the
Iowa Organic conference this week indicating that hot
pepper meal contains saponin. In the greenhouse as a
potting mix component, this meal acts as a fungal
disease inhibitor. Does this suggest that we should
try hot pepper meal as an additive to AACT? Does
anyone have experience with this ingredient?

For the grape growers on the list, does this suggest
that hot pepper spray advertised for insect control
could be a spray to be used in conjunction with AACT
to retard, cure, or prevent fungal diseases?

Laura-- Have you tried this? Thanks. Dorothy
