Beuaveria likes lots of soil microarthropods - springtails, beetle larvae, mosquito larvae (ah ha! this fungus can go after that annoying pest!), prostimatids, mesostigmatids, you name it. The more diversity of microarthropods in your soil, the more diversity in cultivar of Beauveria.

Of course, it means you can't plow much, and you need a litter layer, or mulch layer on your soil surface.

A cover crop helps a great deal too.
