Some people consider the run-off from the worm farm to be worm tea, but it =
is my understanding that true worm tea is a brew similar to compost tea. Y=
ou simply use the vermiculture as the compost and let it brew in water. I =
am asking about this because I found a web site that sells bottled worm tea=
. I was surprised to see it bottled. The site also offers worm tea bags -=
dry vermiculture in a large tea bag that the home gardner can brew just li=
ke a cup of tea. The project I am working on is looking for a product to s=
ell as a social enterprise and is considering something like compost or wor=
m tea. My concern is that such a product wouldn't have a shelf life.

I am a VISTA volunteer doing some research for my project. I am not
at all scientific, but I am fairly intellegent. I have just
finished reading The Compost Tea Brewing Manual. Am I correct in
understanding that compost tea has live organisms in it and so can
not be bottled and stored? I would also like to know how compost
tea and worm tea are the same and how they are different. If anyone
out there can help me out by answering these questions, I will
really appreciate it.
