Bob I didn't dismantle the roller pump to inspect or clean it. I
only rinsed and before the next use I plan to circulate 10% H2O2. I
can't say anything about the fungi cause I have no idea if any was in
the tea nor how much. I hoped to have compost used tested by now but
haven't gotten it done. I'm about ready to go over to K-State and
talk to some professors about I'd ing (morphology not plating)and
counting the tea organisms(DMC and maybe turbidity and whatever other
ideas they have). My compost "should" have considerable fungi due to
cow manure and woody plant materials used in making the compost. Yes
I know there are other factors.
To keep the nozzles clean I initially used a screen much too
small on the wrong side of the pump and the pump promptly blew out
the screen. Then I sprayed the rest of batch without a screen and
unplugged nozzles as necessary (too often). The next batch of ACT I
used smaller openings in my compost holding container while brewing
and sprayed the tea without a screen. I Didn't see any fungi
anywhere with the naked eye. Someone promoting this product has to
write a standard method for the examination of it. Maybe the
international ACT group will have to fund it. The American Public
Health Association published the thirteenth edition of Standard
methods for the examination of dairy products in 1972. There are
books for standard testing of water and wastewater, there is the BAM
and others for testing specific and general products within an
industry. How can we further promote AACtea without standard testing
methods and more testing facilities? I say this cause I am not
interested in hearing that I need to have the tea tested. I know
that!!!!!!!Dennis
Cheers!!

don't like filters beause they take out the fiberous fungi. So we
try to keep out anyting over about 1/16" out of the brew but let the
TEA generate all it can below the size. The roller worked well for
you did it? Bob
