[compost_tea] Compost mulch weights.

Weights are always a problem because of moisture and material. Mixed green=
waste weighs a lot less than grass, etc. I use this handy guide:

Mulch -- 500 - 900 lbs per cube
Compost -- 1000 - 15000 lbs per cube
Soil/compost/mulch mixes -- 1200 - 1600 lbs per cube

Dry (less than 40% moist) weighs a lot less than moist (more than 45% moist=
).

Chips and gorilla are a different matter so. . .

Get a scale and figure bulk density for the product you have for a given am=
ount and figure from that.

Spreading compost. It would be rare that you would want to spread compost =
more than 1/4" on anything. If you need that much organic material, spread=
 mulch.
