The problem with clogging sprayers is likely not the "quality" but
the size of the sprayer orifice. You can buy sprayers with different
size openings, and getting a larger opening would work for things
like Surround, compost teas, etc.

The compost tea mail list discussed this problem a few months ago and
the consensus seemed to be that sprayers designed to spray concrete
curing compounds would be excellent for heavier viscosity materials.

Here is a good one that can handle fluids with up to 35 percent
solids. It's not cheap, but because it's made for the "construction"
industry it is heavy duty and would be a long-term investment:

If that one is too expensive, focus your search on sprayers that will
handle thicker materials, i.e., those with larger openings in the
spray tip.
