[compost_tea] Rookie and Anthracnose

I've been following this list for some time and it has been a
valuable learning forum. My input has been nil because I'm still a
rookie and learning the many variables of compost tea. The last
summer here in New Zealand I trialled tea on pasture. Still very much
in the learning phase with mixed results. I expect to be on track and
have better results this summer though.
As a side trial a tree suffering from foliar antracnose outside my
office was looking rather poorly last year. After 3 applications of
tea late 2003, early 2004 the tree is looking a lot better this
spring. I have sprayed another application of tea on 5/11 of this
month and the tree is looking a lot more healthier. I've posted some
photos on the compost tea yahoo group site (photos21-24). There is a
control photo of a nearby tree that has had no tea applied. It is
looking not so good as compared to the tree that has 4 applications
of tea. This is not a scientific result but enough to give a rookie
some confidence to keep on working with tea.
Cheers
Brian Gallagher
