If you are interested in the microbial life in your compost and willing to<= BR> pay for lab work, such as determining C:N ratios, you might just as well bite the bullet and send compost samples in to SFI for direct microscopic analysis.

And, well worth the nickel to buy the latest Compost Tea Handbook from them=
as well.
