I think one day a week for advertising is good (and healthy), and I
don't care what day that is.

I'm curious though why a day would be set aside for newbies. Is that to
limit the interuptions they bring? Bobs comment below is "why do we
hear from 1% exclusively?" You only have to look back at the posts
over the last year to see why that is - is has been like a fight of the
Titans at times! Where do us dabblers fit into the scheme of things
when the list experts are firing at each other so often and with such
little regard for common courtesies?

I wonder if it might be better if Jeff ran two lists - a general one
and an advanced one. I suspect much of what is being said by the
experts is way over the head of the majority of listers.
