Reece,

First, ACT is not a pesticide. So, you shouldn't expect to kill the
worms with it.

Why was the lady spraying her trees in the first instance. What was she
trying to prevent? What kind of worm is it? The first thing you should
do is identify it.... go to the co-op extension service in your area.

Second, IMHO, ACT is only part of a total soil foodweb regime.  You
sprayed the leaves. Did you use it as a soil drench?  Was there good
fungal mulch around the trees or was a layer of compost put around the
trees?  The aim is to use the soil biology to help the tree help
itself. A healthy tree can sometimes fight for itself.

Third, the worm is a larva of something. When does that larva hatch?
What lays the eggs? Does it pupate? Is it something Bt can take care of
in the caterpillar stage?

Again, I don't think you should be relying on CT to solve all your
problems!

Check this other stuff out. Get those answers. Then integrate a CT
spray and soil drench program into what you offer this lady....

Cheers,

Jeff
