Workshop on Climate Change and Variability






The American Agricultural Economics Association offers several pre- and
post-conference workshops at the annual meeting that will be held in Nashville,
TN on August 9 - 11, 1999.   You may be interested in the total program ?Farm to

 Faculty members will find the climate change workshop of special interest.  You
do not have to register for the annual meeting in order to attend the workshop.

    Tutorial on Climate Change and Variability

This workshop is a one-day intensive tutorial/workshop on climate change and
variability, the controversy surrounding it, its potential impacts and the roles
it creates for applied economists.  The objective of the workshop is to link
agricultural economics professionals with the agribusiness, conservation,
climate science, agricultural science, risk analysis and policy communities on
the issues of weather and climate risk raised by the global climate change
debate.
