Re: Selasphorus

Hi Susan,
I would have no problem with you banding the bird Saturday. I found out
yesterday that the bird has been around for at least three days prior to
my sighting yesterday. I had first noticed it at lunch and excitedly
told my wife that there was a probable Rufous hummer hanging out in our
yard. She nonchalantly told me she has seen it at the feeder for a few
days. She's not a birder, so I just shrugged my shoulders and said, "let
me know if you see it again while I am at work." I did not have time to
see it today and will not be able to look for it tomorrow. However,
since you will be in Cary on Saturday, call me at my home : 845-0267 and
I'll let you know if I saw it as I'll keep a close eye on the feeder the
entire morning.
