Howdy,
I'm happy to see bluebirds everyday lately. I've seen up to eight, but most
of the time there are four eating suet in the front and backyards. It was a
colorful sight to see a male cardinal and male bluebird in the birdbath
together!
On Friday there were four flickers in the backyard! Two were chasing each
other around. Beautiful gold on their tail feathers. I think bird colors are
more brilliant and stand out more in winter! I know I appreciate them even
more.
The feeders where quieter over the warm(?) weekend, but they are active again
today with rain in Raleigh. Saw my first White-crowned Sparrow in the yard
this winter.
I haven't seen either kinglet in the yard lately. How about you?
Hope the weather is warmer for Morehead City, coming up soon!
Joe and I have recently switched to AOL 6.0, so I hope this will go through.
I think Joe figured out a way to work around it.
Stay warm. Happy birding! Karen Bearden
