We're probably getting to the point where no one is very interested in
seeing Eurasian Collared-Doves.
However, I will nevertheless mention a new site in Beaufort, NC where it is
very easy to see several of these birds, at least late in the afternoon.
Apparently, birds roost at the site, and I have seen up to about 20
individuals at one time.
The site is a cemetery (Ocean View is the name, I think) several blocks east
of the downtown area. Take Front Street (the waterfront street) east from
downtown and go several blocks until you see Hill Street (or the next
street, Gerald). Turn and go one block until you see the cemetery. Look
for the doves in the pine trees.
