Hi y'all,

Compton saw a few days ago is still going on. There were a few hundred in
the first two impoundments this morning. Here 'tis:

Other cool stuff: while walking the dike at Santee Delta -East (after my
mtg., about 5 p.m., looking for a you-know-what-kind-of-wren) a bunch of
stuff went plopping into the water. In a few seconds, 7 little baby gator
heads poked up while number eight glared at me from the bank. These things
were really cute, maybe 20 - 24" long. Then the thought of Mama gator
crossed my mind. I didn't stay for the sunset.
Cheers,
Gary
