Vesper Sparrow at ARNWR

Had a nice little group of ten Fox Sparrows Sunday evening (on the way back
home from the CBC meeting) perched in an overturned pine. Went back Monday
morning and relocated two of the (already reported) Lincoln's Sparrows and
then found a Vesper Sparrow! There are umpteen thousands of sparrows out
there on the Alligator Refuge, the problem (and fun)is sorting through all
the common ones. Speaking of sparrows, there are probably LeConte's
Sparrows out there also; has anyone had much luck playing tapes for them? As
birders are not allowed out into the fields themselves (or even onto most of
the roads), the birds can't be flushed. So what is the best way to find a
LeContes's, given this handicap?
Also, I still have not found that Tufted Duck that was reported on Roanoke
Island.
