Susan Swenson, John’s boss:  In my 20 years of business experience, I have only met two people who had ‘IT.’ John was one.

A rising star at Plexus...

[From Jamie Kuziej, Plexus Corp ]
"[John] was held in the highest regard as a super talented, professional man, and his accomplishments and dependability did not go unnoticed throughout the organization. The time that John and I shared on earth was but one short year, a mere moment in time, but for me it was a shining moment."

[Karen Daniels, General Manager of Plexus Corp. ]
"John was a rising star at Plexus. He had the potential to become whatever he decided to be. He is one of those special people who pass through our lives and change us forever."

[David Caputo, friend and co-worker Plexus Corp. ]
"It is not often I can come in contact with someone who can make me feel comfortable and at ease the moment I meet them. John was that kind of person. … he left me with the impression he was destined for great things. I felt stronger and more confident after talking with him. His spirit lives on in my heart."

[Dean Foate, President and CEO of Plexus Corp. ]
"His co-workers in San Diego loved working with him. They mention the joy and wonder he had about his life, his sense of humor, and his love of family. John kept photos of his family in his office and was anxious to share of his beloved nephews with anyone who would listen.

As we honor the memory your son, we are grateful to live in a nation that is proud of men like John who selflessly serve their country to protect us all.

[John Schnitthemer, Plexus Corp. ]
One of the things that impressed me about John was his positive attitude. I don't remember him being in a bad mood.

[AnnMarie Lacsamana]
He was always there when I needed him. I will love and cherish him forever.

[Tiffany Telles, Plexus Corp]
John was a natural and always made people feel comfortable and better about themselves. He was a beautiful being.

[Alex Tobi, Plexus Corp. ]
John had the most integrity of anyone I have ever met. He will be greatly missed here at Plexus. We all love him.

[Steph, Plexus Corp. ]
He always called me his 'Hot Island Babe' I am happy I had the opportunity of working with the talented Major John Walsh. I will cherish every loving memory we had together. I will really miss him.

[Anne Harley, Plexus Corp. ]
John was a very nice, caring, kind human being. I never heard an unkind word from him.

[Liz Mationg, Plexus Corp. ]
I am blessed to have known him. He was a wonderful person. The best of the best. The cream of the crop.

[Anonymous ]
I was so depressed I had lost the will to go on. I sat there contemplating ending my life… And John came in with my favorite ice cream made just the way I like it. I know it may sound trivial but I was looking for a sign, any sign that God was real and there was hope. And there stood John.

[Shalaunda Jackson, Plexus Corp. ]
I will miss his presence so much I can't tell you, and no one will ever know how much.

[Michelle Lock, Plexus Corp. ]
I learned a lot about the person I want to be from John. Very high morals and a wonderful personality is just a beginning. I can say with all my heart I am a better person for having known him.

[Lily Fulton, Human Resources Manager, Plexus Corp. ]
As you have read the words from this scrapbook you can see that John was an amazing individual. He is the man we want our sons to grow up to be; the man we want our daughters to marry.

Some of John's friends from Plexus with Todd, Larry, Amy, Ethan and Griffin at a 'beach memorial' for John. It was held at Moonlight Beach, one of John's favorites, right near his house.
