Besides the places with official internship possiblities, especially if
travel is not on your agenda, you can do what I did.  I went to the library
and copied down the names of all the local archives listed in the Directory
of Archives and called them to see if they had any possible positions.  I
started contacting people in December about a Summer position.  I spoke with
a number of people, most only had volunteer positions, but one did finally
come through (and provided me with the "connections" mentioned in an earlier
post and has led to my further employment).

I was a little farther along in the process (half way through a grad.
program - but if you have had at least a basic introduction as part of your
B.A. you probably can interest someone).
