WW II Social History

Perhaps I missed mention of this book on the list during the
"discussion" of WW II archives. But has anyone seen or read Tom Brokaw's
book The Greatest Generation? A copy was passed along to me with the
promise that I would pass it on to someone else. Everyone who reads it
signs their name. The personal accounts are very interesting and sometimes
poignant.
I was born in 1940 and lived in Philadelphia, PA. I still remember
black outs and the air raid sirens.
