Yesterday I listed the following message and attachment on the archives listserv. I have had a number of requests to list the URL's within the body of my message so that readers may have the option of not opening the Word document if they so choose and still have the opportunity to explore these websites. I'm happy to oblige! The URL's follow in the order in which they appear in the attachment. ----original message --- A couple of weeks ago I made a request for tips on websites that included digitized primary sources and curriculum support for those materials. Thank you to everyone that responded. The attachment is an annotated bibliography in an eight-page Word document for folks interested in the compilation. (There are some exciting pages under development which were not included at this time but which will merit watching.) All hyperlinks in the document were tested and worked. If you open the document and find the links garbled-in-transmission, feel free to e-mail me off the list serve, and I will provide those links to you within my e-mail response. I will be sharing this at ARMA's Government-Education-&-Archives Groups' Midyear Seminar at Archives II in College Park, MD, on April 4-5 as part of a panel on "Access to Government Records." And, yes, I am still looking to add to this document if you are aware of sites I've missed that you think I might want to look up. Comments, suggestions, constructive criticism would most certainly be welcomed. <<Using Primary Sources Online.doc>> --- new message -- Following are the URL's referenced in the attached document: Getting Started: http://www.sara.nysed.gov/services/teachers/ctspromo.htm http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/ndlpedu/lessons/psources/pshome.html http://dohistory.org/home http://www.library.yale.edu/mssa/tutorial/ Primary Sources with Curriculum Support: http://www.archives.state.al.us/teacher/psources.shtml http://www.alabamamoments.alalinc.net http://www.bcarchives.gov.bc.ca/exhibits/timemach/index.htm http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/calheritage/k12/index.html http://collections.ic.gc.ca/E/index_e.asp http://www.cln.org/ http://www.artsednet.getty.edu/ http://www.newberry.org/nl/smith/smithhome.html http://www.mdarchives.state.md.us/msa/stagser/s1259/121/7578/html/plans.html http://www.mnhs.org/school/classroom/ http://mosl.sos.state.mo.us/rec-man/archweb/modocs.html http://www.nara.gov/education/classrm.html http://www.whistlestop.org http://newdeal.feri.org/classrm/classlp.htm http://newdeal.feri.org/classrm/links.htm http://www.ohiohistory.org/resource/teachers/primary.html http://www.ohiohistory.org/resource/database/teachers.html http://www.gcedunet.peachnet.edu/gather/content/oldgovmansion/ogmfront.html http://www.cr.nps.gov/nr/twhp/descrip.html http://www.cr.nps.gov/toolsfor.htm http://www.state.vt.us/vhs/edu.htm http://www.historylab.org http://www.wpl.lib.oh.us/AntiSaloon Additional Links of Note: http://www.bctf.bc.ca/psas/ http://www.heritageproject.ca/default.htm http://www.thehistorynet.com/NationalHistoryDay/links.htm http://www.icom.org http://nix.nasa.gov/ http://www.nasa.gov/ http://education.nasa.gov/ http://www.nytimes.com/learning/ http://www.lva.lib.va.us/k12/programs/cavalcade.htm Additional Teacher Resources: http://www.schistory.org/getty/tableofcontents.html http://www.sccu.edu/faculty/R_Harris/evalu8it.htm National Standards: http://www.civiced.org/stds.html http://www.sscnet.ucla.edu/nchs/hstocb.html http://cnets.iste.org/sfors.htm http://www.iste.org Paul R.
