Re: Catalogs with Gun Prices
As I recall, the earliest trade catalog for household and industrial
hardware sold through the business, Huntington, Hopkins & Co. of Sacramento
and San Francisco, CA, is 1879. The particular specimen I have looked at is
quite large in both form and content. Reference photocopies of HH&Co
catalogs are held by California State Railroad Museum, which partly occupies
and operates the reconstructed, original Huntington & Hopkins store.
