Archivist/Researcher (Part time)

The Position: Indiana University of Pennsylvania seeks an
archivist/researcher to assist in the operation of the library's Special
Collections Division. This is a half-time permanent administrator 1 position
which reports to the Special Collections Librarian and participates in all
aspects of Special Collections operations. Primary responsibilities are to
organize manuscript and archival collections, train and supervise student
employees, assist researchers, prepare computer-based finding aids, assist
in maintaining the web site, prepare exhibits, and attend to other daily
routines to insure efficient division operations. For further information

Qualifications: Requirements include Bachelor's degree; excellent writing,
verbal, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work
independently; physical ability to lift filled record center boxes (maximum
50 pounds); and excellent computing skills. A Masters degree in related
subject area; course-work or experience with archives/manuscripts;
familiarity with Microsoft Word and other relevant software, digital
technologies, EAD and web applications are preferred. To become a finalist,
candidates must communicate effectively and perform well in the
interview(s).
