Re: Autauga County

I think this would be a very good idea. The last rolls of Autauga County film should be here any day now, so after it is duplicated I will try to set up a time to present the county's copy. Judge Taylor said he would contact his legislators about the grant program during our campaign several weeks ago. I expect he would be willing to use the ceremony as an opportunity to publicize the need for grants.

Tom,
Do you think it would be useful to ask Judge Taylor about inviting members of the legislative delegation representing Autauga County? He could show them how a state grant program could be helpful if he would be interested in this initiative. And since our participation reflects state involvement, the legislators would have a legitimate role in this event.

Just heard from Randy Shoemaker at GSU that the last rolls of Autauga County loose records microfilm were mailed on May 4. As soon as they come in and the county's copies have been made, I'll call Judge Taylor and ask him to get the volunteers, the newspaper reporter who did the earlier article, and John Reed back together for a presentation ceremony and "photo op."
