Re: Preview prints



Studio proof paper was usually used by photo studios to present the
pictures to clients so they choose the poses they wanted.  They were
deliberately formulated to darken upon exposure to light,  thereby making
them unusable for actual use.  I don't know that they faded, since silver
compoundsa usually darken with exposure to light.  May be another process
used.

They were sepia toned in appearance.

Don't know how affected they would be by a scanner.  Light might totally
expose them.  You might want to test a small portion or corner in the
scanner, compare it to the original.  If there is no change, try scanning
them.
