Heritage grant program of the Massachusetts Historical Records Advisory
Board.

Grant program has resulted in the funding of 17 projects for a total of
$111,495. The deadline for Cycle 3 initial grant applications is August 1,
2000.

The competitive grants program funds projects that promote and result in the
documentation, preservation, and use of historical records in Massachusetts.
Priority projects address the following goals: to educate the public to
value historical records and archives; to promote collaboration to achieve
common goals; to plan for adequate documentation of Massachusetts history;
and to improve the accessibility and preservation of historical records.

Applicants are encouraged to contact Heritage staff to discuss potential
collaborators and to ensure that applications meet all requirements. These
dates and more information on the grant program are posted on the MHRAB
web-site, http:www.state.ma.us/sec/arc/arcaac/aacintro.htm.

If you are interested in applying for a grant or would like to learn more
