Hypocrisy at our Massachusetts Library of Last Recourse

Free to All
Hypocrisy at our Boston Public Library

Mayor Menino said, "This new library branch represents
a host of opportunities for all of the people of
Allston and Boston.

The Boston Public Library is our greatest educational
institution because it serves everyone regardless of
his or her age, abilities, agenda or address.

Today we are taking a major step toward giving this
community the gift of life long learning and
opportunity.

We are leveling the playing field and making everything
from technology to the classics free to all."

Hypocritically, BPL Director of Operations Ruth Kowal
has ignored the mission of our Massachusetts Library Of
Last Recourse City of Boston Public Library Departments
by attempting to charge for public information required
to be available in accord with Massachusetts records
management principles for state and local government
