Creature comforts and the archival office

We have a number of framed items (medieval ms. leaves which are stuck to
the glass, facsimiles, Hollins related items) so I hung them up in my
office--they weren't too useful but it perks up my office and clears up
some shelf space.

I also have a diploma, photos of my husband, nephew, and bird, AND a teddy
bear. I bought mine from Sagamore Hill (Teddy's Roosevelt's Home on Long
Island). Since it's a MARAC conference memorabilia item and related to the
museum, I can claim its "archival" value! :)

As for plants, I tend to kill them. Maybe I'll consider some nice looking
artificial ones for my desk, if I ever clear it off! (Ha!)

My boss has a beaver puppet in her office--don't know what the story is
behind it but some staff members played a joke on her and stole it. They
took pictures of the bear in various locations (including out of state,
doing various activities, costumes, etc.). She received numerous cards
from the bear too. Eventually he came back home but it was an amusing
saga--most of the staff didn't know who had done it! Anyway, I'm not
telling the staff I've got one 'cause I don't want him to "run away."
