I would say that if you are determined to preserve
the original presentation do not worry about the storage medium, this can always
be updated. It is the integrity and readability of the electronic file you need
to look after. Store the file on whatever medium you choose, but keep a copy of
the software which created/read the file on the same disk/CD etc. Also,
create a metadata file ( in the form of a simple text file) which records the
technological and archival/descriptive context of the files in question (eg
operating system, author etc) as well as details of any migrations or meta-meta
data. There are standards available for such metadata. If this seems like too
much work then maybe printing the presentation on to slides is the best idea
after all...
