Thanks for the comments about the book. The readability of the essays is a
credit to each of the authors more than to me. But that was certainly one of
my criteria in selecting articles - it's hard to learn much from a boring or
poorly written article.

Just wanted to let you know that I used American Archival
Studies in my archives class this fall at UW and it received high marks from
the students. I always do a debriefing during the final class meeting, and
virtually all agreed at how surprised they were that the readings were
interesting and enjoyable--certainly better than the library literature they
have been reading.
