Bricks and Nutmeg - Painful Hoax Admitted
Well I know that we are all fairly traumatized by the rigors of Christmas
shopping at this time of year but I thought that SOMEONE would have
responded to the FORUM article by one Heer Hubert van Klaassens ?
It's time to admit that this particular offering is a HOAX -the product of
an over fertile imagination ( hence the need for two bricks! )
Even I have to admit that at first reading the information seemed plausible
but I was fairly sure he was creating a scenario that stretched the
imagination ( and in the context of the article, that is NOT a pun! )
In fact Hubert is an old friend from way back and shares a similarly macabre
sense of humour to yours truly. I thank him for his contribution as I am
sure you will agree that the Museum world needs a lot more like him; people
prepared to have a laugh
I must add, the rest of the items sent are genuine and also a very enjoyable
read.
The FORUM section direct URL is
http://www4.wave.co.nz/~jollyroger/forum.html if you haven't already read
it.
best wishes
Roger
