Baking. . .reheating reminder. . .
Rob Robinson, an expert NPR tape baker had the following reminder:
"Most tapes can be baked again and again. But the catch is that the
"baking fix" lasts a shorter and shorter period of time. So most
people who take the time and trouble to bake a tape
will copy it after it cools down. The "baking fix" lasts a couple of
weeks to a month before the tape reverts to its sticky condition."
A couple of years ago, one of the NPR weekend shows had a segment on
tape baking.
