Digital preservation

Greetings.

With all the recent discussions here about CD's, capturing websites,
electronic formats, etc., I thought the following site would be of interest:

Creative Archiving at Michigan and Leeds:
Emulating the Old on the New
http://www.si.umich.edu/CAMILEON/

This is a joint project investigating emulation versus migration in digital
preservation and offers an interesting, though not necessarily convincing,
take on this matter.

The project was listed in the latest issue of the Scout Report for Social
Sciences & Humanities, March 20, 2001
