Re: 1903 Locomotive

Hi, Jan. I recommend you pose your question on a www.railroad.net/forums/
forum, specifically the one for Southwest railroads
(http://www.railroad.net/forums/swrail/. I've found that railroad fans have
a good grasp of this kind of information. Also, if you know the successor
to the CRI&GRy you might want to go to that specific railroad (again, see
listing at www.railroad.net/forums.

Good luck to you.

We have been asked to find out what kind of locomotive came to Irving,
Texas, the day the town was founded, December 19, 1903. It was a special
train from Dallas. The track belonged to the Chicago, Rock Island & Gulf
Railway. We have begun looking for this, but no luck so far. Any pointers?

Thanks for any thoughts you may have. Best wishes!
