Thursday distraction

Only vaguely apropos. In the middle of a trip back from one of our
affiliate hospitals, I was listening to John Hiatt's "Walk On" CD, and up
came the song "Shredding the Documents". Given our constant interest in
documents and today's polite and restrained debate (not), I thought I'd
share the chorus:

I'm shredding the document
I'm keeping my mouth shut
I'm running on radio silence
I'm letting the record speak
I'm shredding the document
The switchboard is lighting up
I'm not taking anymore calls
Well maybe from larry King
The song's really about pop culture, trashy TV, and the demise of
politeness. I think. Anyway, it made me think of the list.
Incidentally, this is a truly FANTASTIC album from a great songwriter.
Apparently he fits into the Contemporary Folk category, whatever that means.
