The list includes three former ministers and one head of a political party.
The revelations come two months before parliamentary elections; six of the

Lillington, N.C.
In the mistrustful age of Watergate, Vietnam, and Love Canal, journalists
enjoyed wide support and scored impressive victories in their quest for open
access to information.
But 30 years and many "sunshine laws" later, the pendulum is swinging toward
privacy. Today, it's not just defensive bureaucrats and cautious general
counsels, but also ordinary Americans who seem to favor a little secrecy.

Vito Sperduto had a problem. Mr. Sperduto, an investment banker at Wit
Capital, needed to figure out how much Staples.com, the Web site of Staples,

A search engine goes beyond Google
http://www.nytimes.com/2001/05/17/technology/17SEAR.html

by Lisa Guernsey
There seems to be little argument among Web-search gurus that Google is one
of the best search engines out there - if not at the top of the heap. It has
won awards from more than a dozen magazines and is now used by Yahoo and
Netscape to augment their category-based Web site directories.
So, when Danny Sullivan, the editor of Search Engine Watch, reviewed a new
search engine recently under the headline "Makes Google Even Better," people
took notice.

With their wedding party scattered across 3,000 miles, Gladys We and Tony
Nathan did much of their wedding planning by e-mail.
For their first-anniversary gift last September, their bridesmaid Grace Cheng
compiled all the wedding correspondence into a handmade book. About 90
percent of the book consisted of messages sent among the bride and her
bridesmaids. A paltry 10 percent was messages among the men.

Lockyer said the move by Reliant Energy Inc (NYSE:REI - news), Mirant Corp

comply with Department of Justice subpoenas.
