Re: Numbering Negatives



My way may not be the best, most precise or most elegant, but our some of
collections include thousands of negatives and all manner of images made
from them. I ended up tackling  the problem of linking them all together
from two directions:

For individual negatives, an individual reference number is assigned to the
negative and to all images made from it.

For strips of negatives, a reference number is assigned to the roll (or, if
we don't have the entire roll, to the strip), and then all images made from
it are referenced to it by the frame number.
