coyright information for researchers

Title: ARCHIVES Digest - 13 Aug 2001 to 14 Aug 2001 (#2001-227)
I'm a little late on this one but for something short and accurate on copyright in general, I recommend Lolly Gasaway's site. She is it UNC and teaches a wonderful copyright workshop. http://www.unc.edu/~unclng/public-d.htm

Where there is an issue of 'fair use' the authority is CONFU: http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/dcom/olia/confu/

For current changes caused by the Digital Millenium Copyright Act and related stuff, the ARL (research libraries) maintains a page: http://www.arl.org/info/frn/copy/dmca.html

But for fast and easy learning about images and copyright, you can't beat the UT online course!: http://www.utsystem.edu/OGC/IntellectualProperty/cprtindx.htm
