ELECTRONIC RECORDS RESEARCHER AND PROJECT COORDINATOR
=====================================================

Our leading-edge collaborative R&D programs improve electronic records
automation. As a Researcher and Project Coordinator, you will help
with research to coordinate projects and support staff, project
researchers and team members. This mid-level professional position
requires excellent skills for research, oral and written business
communication, project coordination, and project administration. You
will be expected to independently plan and execute logistics for meetings,
events and projects, and generate reports and other materials needed to
support projects. You will be a vital part of diverse professional teams
who are developing electronic records specifications, guidelines,
policies, procedures, and their corresponding training and education
materials.

Qualifications or training in records management or archiving will be
a strong plus, because it will help you immediately understand and
support project participants. Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and
technical aspects of electronic records systems will be very helpful.

This professional position will have about 50 % research duties and
50% project coordination and administrative support duties. Your
responsibilities will include:

1 - Researching, developing, and writing electronic records policies,
procedures, system and program specifications, guidelines and other
deliverables.

2- Consolidating marked-up documents from project teams.  Researching,
drafting, writing, editing, proofreading, and copyediting deliverables,
and various promotion and communication materials.

3 - Day-to-day project coordination and reporting; keeping project
tracking data current. Coordinating and scheduling meetings and
logistics among diverse program participants and stakeholders.

4 - Fielding incoming calls from project stakeholders and association
members and prospects; handling calls directly if possible with your
knowledge of GERA's R&D projects and product and service offerings;
otherwise directing them to appropriate staff, data or other resources.

5 - Providing direct support for the R&D project team, including
handling schedules, travel, and associated logistics, before, during,
and after meetings.

6- Setting up and maintaining program and project records systems,
budgeting and bookkeeping systems.  Helping to develop and keep the
association website current.

7- Providing other ad hoc administrative and project coordination support.

SKILLS IMPORTANT TO YOUR SUCCESS: Good research and writing skills.
Good people skills and excellent organizational skills. Good typing,
editing, word processing, and general computer skills. A passion for
details. Juggling and prioritizing several tasks at once to meet
deadlines.  Independently doing assignments. Being a good team player.

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE: Prior experience with records management or
archiving systems will be extremely helpful. Prior experience with
multi-party research and development projects will also be helpful.
Administrative, coordination support and web-based information sharing
systems will be used to help the R&D teams collaborate. You should be
a fast learner to pick up new technical skills.

WORK DIRECTION: This is a full-time dedicated position. You will work
with and under the direction of the Association Executive Director
and the Research Program Manager, who will indicate general objectives,
assignments, limitations, and priorities.
