ARMA Conference in Montreal

Good afternoon! With the increased security levels at airports around the
country I am wondering if anyone has heard of any new restriction for entry
into Canada and also the re-entry into the U.S. I have contacted several
agencies (U.S.I.N.S., U.S. Passport Office, Department of State and the
Canadian Consulate). I have heard that a Certified Birth Certificate along
with a valid drivers license is all that is needed to enter Canada but for
re-entry back into the U.S. I have heard statements that indicate a birth
certificate/drivers license will be sufficient and on other conversations
re-entry will require a passport as well as a birth certificate.
Unfortunately, I don't have a passport and had not planned on getting one.
Since the conference is 2 weeks away acquiring a passport will require some
strategic planning. Has anyone, planning on attending the conference, found
any other information to be true? Would appreciate hearing back from you.
Thanks!!
