Re: A modest proposal



My feeling is: I am my own moderator. I instantly delete messages with
uninteresting or irreleveant or spammish headings, or with attachments; or
they simply are left unread. And then the whole lot gets dumped once a month
(that's my retention period for listserve postings).

The list is like a newspaper: you don't have to read every article. If you
like, you can skip the funnies, you can skip the raving letters to the
editor, and you can dump the whole thing in the trash when you're done with
it.
