temperature variation between storage areas

Hello,

I'm the first archivist at my organization, although they have been
collecting archival materials for some time. The collections are (mostly)
stored in temperature and humidity controlled areas, with the temp. set at
65 degrees. My office, where much of the processing will occur is much
warmer (78 degrees today, although it's usually a bit cooler). In the short
term (until I can arrange for processing tables in temperature controlled
areas) would it be better to return boxes I'm working on to the temperature
controlled areas (each night, for example, or on weekends) so that their
exposure to the warmer office is limited, or to keep them in my office until
processing is complete to avoid exposing them to temperature variation?

Thanks,
Rebecca
