Re: ARMA & environmental recommendations for paper
Two other points:
1) I have always heard (& reported) that "heat" or "cold" is less important
than changes in temp/humidity/light; better to have items at constant 70
degrees than 62 one day & 70 the next & 65 the day after.
2) I believe that Iron Mountain's facilities are different in different
locations; I sent some things off to IM for storage a few years back, and I
was told (though I admit I never checked on it) that they had secured vaults
with temp & humidity controls. It may be that the facility local to NYC has
different amenities than elsewhere.
It's not that I care particularly about IM's success or failure, but we
should probably not jump on the company as a whole because this one
rep/location doesn't know what she/they are talking about.
